Whatta NY Songwriters Night @ The Bitter End! June 13, 2023.... Elizabeth co-hosted with Peter Bliss

Here's the morning after email I sent to our crew:

Morning,

Just a quick note to let you know that last night’s event at The Bitter End was magnificent.  The club was packed.  Standing room only.  The performances were all terrific.  They included Julie Gold singing her song, “From A Distance,”. Peter Bliss doing what he called his “Las Vegas medley” of songs he wrote for Streisand, *NSYNC, J Geils”, Bob Telson closing with “I Am Calling You” from Baghdad Cafe.  And a soulful  performance by Christian Guardino who, having reversed blindness with gene therapy, made it to 7 on American Idol and got the golden buzzer on America’s Got Talent.  We had Broadway performers and The Girlz (with Nina Ossoff) who have over 55 million streams as a writing team.  And just a ton of talent…with young & not-so-young performing songwriters.

Most of all it launched what I feel will become a strong collaborative songwriting community in NYC.  I’m pretty sure we are going to strengthen our NYSCL SongArts numbers.  I feel we are building something special and powerful here.

Enjoy your coffee.  I’m going to calm down now.
