I am very proud to serve on the Board of Directors of the esteemed Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL). As Chair of the SCL SongArts (East Coast) I get to co-create and co-host panels of concern to music creators, including songwriters and composers for all media. The SCL is a brilliant org and everyone in its leadership is a music creator…with major accomplishments & awards. Yes, I am an SCL Fan Girl. Our CEO, Ashley Irwin, is in Washington DC all this week. He’s a leader in creating bi-partisan support for fair pay for music creators and putting guardrails around AI. Yes I said bipartisan. Now that’s impressive these days, right?
